If it involves trees, we have the equipment and crew to handle anything.
Above and Beyond staff were also very cooperative and respectful at all times with Ministry staff and with the public. There was keen alertness in them to maintain safety in the operations which do carry a high degree of danger. They demonstrated full on engagement throughout the workday and returned a high degree of value for their work. I am pleased to recommend Above and Beyond Tree Service and Mr. Lewis for this type of work at any time.

As you can see below, we've got all the right equipment to get your job done safely and quickly. I personally maintain and service these vehicles and they show up ready to work long and hard.
When work volumes and customer expectations exceed your available iron, you simply need to get more iron. This beauty is our newest addition. Powered by a strong Cat diesel engine and 7 speed spicer tranny, we can get to you on time and in fashion. With 60' of reach via the Versa-Lift VO55 boom, we can get to places you simply can't get to climbing
This beauty is fresh from the southern U.S. and is a real gem. It has got very low hours and miles and will be a true performer in our ever growing line up of equipment. With all the reach needed to conquer any job and all the latest tools on board, it will provide us and our huge customer base years and years of great service.
This truck is a real performer. A 60' of lift(VO-255-I double over center insulated boom) is tall enough to tackle the biggest jobs yet nimble enough to work in tight quarters. With a hydraulic trim saw run from the bucket, hedges and shaping can be done quickly and precisely. The chip box is custom made to pack more chips than a standard bucket truck, keeping us on the job not travelling to dump a full truck. We also use eco-tec vegetable oil rather than hydraulic oil so in the event of a leak or blown hose, the damage to driveways, lawns or water ways is minimal or non-existent. It is a pleasure to operate on the job and with cruise control, ac, CD player and turbo diesel 7 speed, its also a pleasure to drive.
This gem is the best way to get up to 6 men and a chipper to a job with efficiency. Being an Arizona truck means she is clean as a whistle and has very low milage. It packs a ton of gear that we need in our daily operations and hauls the crew members around in comfort and style. She is fully rigged and ready to back in your driveway
Introducing our newest edition to the ever growing fleet. This truck has a power house cummins diesel engine and can pack a huge amount of chips and yet pack all the gear required to get your job done. The cab over design enables this truck to be super nimble and turn on a dime.
This truck is a pure workhorse fresh from California. The powerful turbo diesel engine pulls a full load of chips and the chipper with ease. The box is absolutely huge. At 16 feet long, 8 feet wide and 8 feet high, we can chip all day into it and not leave the jobsite. Most competitors chip into a pick up truck or a puny bucket truck box and have to leave up to 3 times a day to dump, not us. You are paying for crew time so do you want them driving around all day or working on your job?
This little rig can fit into tight areas our big trucks simply cannot this saves time (crew labour) and thus our customers money. It has a full compliment of saws, hedgers, ladders, tools etc and tows a diesel 12" chipper. This truck can work alone on jobs or brought in on big jobs with our other trucks to maximize efficiency for our valued customers
This brand new addition to the chipping fleet is a wood eating monster. With a turbo charged 130 horsepower cummins diesel and 15" chipping diameter, this unit can turn an entire tree into chips in seconds. No fiddling around cutting limbs off and feeding small pieces one at a time, we can winch the whole tree or large parts of it right into the chipper. This saves us time and the customer money. Efficiency is everything and this machine is a true time saving beast.
It is the exact same as our 2014 we picked up a few months ago with a 12" capacity and a cummins turbo diesel. Our 2009 vermeer is getting a little long in the tooth and breakdowns are not profitable or acceptable. We have a ton of work to do so we keep our iron new and reliable. Now we have 3 Vermeer bc1000xl chip peers in the fleet and work them daily.
We are proud to introduce this brand new workhorse to the hard working fleet with a cummins turbo diesel engine and auto feed plus. This machine can chip 12" logs or the smallest of hedge clippings with ease many competitors run 6" or 9" chippers that are NOT professional standard and are very slow and inefficient but charge rates just slightly below ours. We run the best gear for YOUR best value, down time is a killer and combined with our 2009 Vermeer bcxl 1000 chipper, we have enough manpower, chippers and trucks to ensure we get our customers jobs completed in a timely matter.
Powered by a Cummins turbo diesel, this chipper is a workhorse. It has Auto-Feed Plus and several other automated computer controlled features. The chipper is not only a joy to operate, but very time efficient, this saves us time and you money. This chipper will chow down on everything from 12" logs to the finest trimmings from your cedar hedge. It has shaven time off jobs and allowed us to move more customers into our daily agendas to keep up with our ever growing clientele.
This little sweet-heart is our tight quarters specialist. Its light weight but packs a serious punch. With a 40hp motor and functions found on its bigger siblings, this little dynamo will get the job done safely and efficiently. When hooked up to our Suzuki Samurai, this combination can get anywhere. Literally anywhere. For trail clearing and parks work this unit is ideal. It tows well behind our big trucks as well if needed. It can be unhooked and hand bombed into a backyard as well. It definitely has its niche behind our three 12" chippers and the big 15" chipper.
Introducing a stumps worst nightmare...even the biggest ugliest stumps. With a 4 cylinder turbo charged caterpillar diesel and 24" diameter cutting wheel loaded with 32 tungsten carbide teeth, this monster eats the hugest of stumps with ease. Wireless remote control allows operator to move about and get the perfect vantage point to grind with deadly precision. High flotation tracks prevent lawn disturbance and suck in to 34" to get through garden gates and then expand to 60" for stable grinding on any angle. This is a huge stump specialist. His little brother, our 2014 Vermeer SC30tx, is our small, medium, tight quarters specialist. Call today and we shall make your stumps vanish. No matter what size or scenario, we got you covered.
Fresh of the assembly line, this beauty packs a punch and is a breeze to get into tight spots or through standard 35" gates being track driven is lawn friendly and is easy to wiggle into backyards being hydraulic throughout, the down time of belts and bearing issues is eliminated. That means more productive time to get your job done.
Here is my mobile office. This truck gets me to all my daily quotes on time and efficiently. The eco-diesel has cut my fuel bill by 60% which is great for saving both money and the environment. As our coverage area and customer base steadily increases from Naniamo to Port Hardy, this truck will assure your quotes will be delivered on time.
This truck is the main puller for any of our stump grinders, chippers or trailers. Its got a tidy tank and all the spare pieces, parts and tools to maintain our stump grinders to ensure little to know down time on any jobs.
Another solid member of the fleet, this truck to can pull equipment or move a whole crew to remote sites whether pulling a chipper or not. With the exact same features and bells and whistles as our other pick ups, its a great addition to the fleet.
This recently added pick up provides a covered box to keep our gear dry and transport up to 6 men to remote locations. It enables crew flexibility and can move chippers into tight spots or pull one of our stump grinders to your job.
This was my daily driver for 6 years and served me well. Now it is a crew transporter if we are traveling a long distance and leaving our big equipment on site. Also it easily pulls a chipper for off road or tight quarter positioning jobs. It ain't pretty but it still has a place in our line up.
This little beauty may look small and useless but looks are decieving. We bring this rig in to tow the chipper into real tight places like backyards and narrow approaches. With a gear reduction kit in the transfer case and lockers front and back, this little rig will climb a wall. We save you money by getting the chipper to places to chip debris that otherwise would take hours to pack out to a chipper attached to a big chip truck.
This monster can easily maneuver a small chipper into the tightest of places and pack a few crew members and saws and gear into parks and trails for various tasks.
With class leading power, lifting capacity, and digging force, this machine really gets the work done. We haul unwanted logs away from your job (for a discount to you) or do various other job descriptions based on your needs. With rubber tracks and low ground pressure, we can walk on driveways and lawns without issues. The machine has a 36" clean up bucket, 12" trench bucket, 24" digging bucket and a 40" brush rake for clearing.
This very impressive unit quickly connects onto the Kubota 121-3 Mini Excavator. It mulches blackberries, broom, brush and anything else in path into mere chips. Its ideal for clearing properties, trails, ditches and other areas of unwanted and invasive brush and weeds. With the ultimate in flexibility and maneuverability, this combination is very impressive. Check out our gallery page for pictures of this rig in action.
At 14 feet long and 8 feet wide, this trailer packs our kubota 121-3 excavator around with ease. The trailer also dumps on a strong scissor style dump mechanism. We haul the excavator in and logs out or haul any materials you may need in or out.
This trailer has a rear ramp & side door. This handy rig packs our Vermeer sc30 tx stump grinder and all the necessary gear & tools of the trade to the job site.
In addition to this equipment, we have thousand of dollars spent on chainsaws, power pole saws, long hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, climbing gear, rigging gear, ladders and ropes. All of these items are needed to ensure a smooth day at the office.
Chad and his crew have worked with myself and others on a habitat restoration project for the endangered Taylor's Checkerspot Butterfly within a butterfly reserve in Denman Island Provincial Park. The habitat is becoming unsuitable for the butterfly and therefore we required a professional brush/tree cutting crew to fall vegetation within the butterfly reserve. Chad and his crew were professional, courteous and worked with the on-site biologist, Andrew Fyson, to ensure all the high biological values of the area were maintained. Chad and his crew are prompt, reliable and very efficient at their work. Extra care and attention were requested for this task, mainly due to the sensitive nature of the habitat and the high profile nature of the location. Chad and his crew provided this extra care. I look forward to potentially working with Chad and his crew in the future on similar projects.
